Common Core and Pinterest

Are you on Pinterest?  Check out Pinterest, especially if you're looking to jazz up some of the materials in the Common Core Modules!

Use the Search Tool in Pinterest to find all sorts of great resources for your classroom.  You can search by grade level, strategies, skills, etc...

Did you know that there are dozens of anchor charts aligned with Common Core on Pinterest?  Narrow your search by searching for anchor charts on a specific subject.  For example, a search for Math Anchor Charts provides many anchor charts for all kinds of math.  You can be even more specific by including a specific math topic, such as Algebra Anchor Charts in your search.

A search of Close Reading offers anchor charts specifically about  close reading along with strategies and questions to ask when doing close reading with students...

You can plug in different words and phrases from the Common Core Standards into the Pinterest Search Tool to find pins on the many different skills students are learning within the Common Core.  Examples:

Text Structure

Ratios and Proportions

Make sure to sign up for your own Pinterest account.  Once you have an account, when you search for pins, you can add the pins you like best to your own boards.  You can invite others to pin to your boards.  If you work as a team with your grade-level or department-level colleagues, together you'll find many excellent strategies and tools to use with your students very quickly.

If you have a Pinterent account, what are some of your favorite searches and pins?

Happy Pinning!
